I'm a Quebec‑based writer whose work blends feral comedy, emotional depth, and the quiet ache of human connection. I write character‑driven literary fiction where love unfolds naturally, without labels or moral framing.

I write in English, from the perspective of a Quebecer whose French is beautifully anglicized. The idiosyncrasies of Quebec culture, its humour, the contradictions, the language, the love for hockey and winter... all shape my characters’ emotional worlds. It’s not a setting; it’s a pulse.

Maleness

I write many male characters because I believe men deserve emotional permission. The men in my life — my father, my brother, my husband — have shown me gentleness, humour, vulnerability, and depth. I want to write men who are allowed to feel, to break, to love, to be soft without apology. My male characters are not fantasies; they are possibilities.

🌈 Queerness

Some of my characters are queer, some are not. It’s never a theme — it’s simply where the character’s emotional truth leads. I write about people, not labels. Queerness in my work is incidental, organic, and deeply personal. It’s part of the emotional landscape, not a marketing category.

🌤️ Happy Endings

I believe in happy endings, but not always the ones we expect. Sometimes happiness arrives years later, in a different shape than we imagined. My books honour that ambiguity — the right to hope, the right to heal, the right to redefine what happiness means.

My work is more autobiographical than it looks. Beneath the hockey, the humour, the queerness, the drama, there’s me — my envy, my longing, my ferocity, my tenderness. Every book contains pieces of people I’ve loved, people I’ve lost, and people I’ve been. The deep lines, the wild passion, the strange obsessions — they’re all echoes of my own life.
